Bordi Amerikan i Komisionerëve për Misionet në Vendet e Huaja ka qenë ndër lëvizjet e para e cila luajti rol shumë të rëndësishëm në themelimin e Lëvizjes Protestante ndër shqiptarë, por edhe në vizionin për një arsim të mire për kombin shqiptar. Në raportet e tyre do të reflektohet shumëçka rreth eksperiencave të tyre, që gjithashtu shërbejnë si një bazë e mirë e historisë së Shqipërisë ku gjithkush mund t’i referohet në varësi të punës studimore që kryen.
